In  the fall of 2007, Ed Bajak got together with local drummer Lowell McLaren and the two started discussing the idea of a band doing only instrumental music, starting with the hits of the late 50’s and early 60’s. At that point
SoundWave was  born! Since that time, members have come and gone, but the main focus has still  been retained - to play instrumental music. Our musical style has been compared to ‘The Ventures’ or ‘The Shadows’, but it is much more than that. One of our main goals is to keep the spirit of the 60’s alive by playing many instrumental hits from that great era.  Hits such as Walk Don’t Run, Apache, Rebel Rouser, Sleepwalk, and Pipeline are just some of our musical offerings.
SoundWave has successfully performed at the 2008 Saskatoon Blues festival, Taste of Saskatchwan, Mystic Java, Cafe Vivant, The UnderDog  Music Co., beily's pub & grill, Prairie Ink Restaraunt, Sun Dog Craft
Faire, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Draggins Rod and Custom Shows, Jazzfest 2012, and for local fundraisers. We are  looking forward to a variety of engagements in the near future. We are committed  to musical growth, and will continue to evolve into an act that provides all forms of instrumental music.

SoundWave is available to perform for all manner of functions – from car shows, to ‘baby boomer’ birthday parties, to corporate after dinner shows.
